WinZip Instructions:

Download WinZip unless you have WindowsXP


How to install:

1. Double click the downloaded winzip executable ( winzip81.exe ).
2. Click the setup button
3. Click " ok " when the "install to" box comes up ( it will extract all the files )
4. Click next
5. Click yes
6. Click next
7. Click next
8. Click next
9. Click next
10. Check " delete installation file " check box and click finish
11. Select "file" from the menu's and then select "exit"
12. Click yes
 


How to compress an image into a zip file:

1. Right click the file you want to compress
2. Click "add to zip file"
3. Click "i agree"
4. Under compression, use the down arrow to select "Maximum"
5. Click "add"
6. Select the file menu and then click exit ( or you can hit the "x" in the top right hand corner to close winzip). The file you just created should show up right next to the one you selected to compress.
 


How to compress Multiple images into one file:

1. Put all the images you want to compress into a single folder
2. Select all the pictures by dragging the mouse over them and holding the left mouse button down.
2a. You can also select all the files individually by holding down the ctrl button on your keyboard and left clicking all the pictures you want to add to the compressed file you are about to create.
3. Right click over one of the files you just selected
4. Click "add to zip file"
5. Click "i agree"
6. Under "add to archive" click the "new" button and then type the name you wish to give the compressed file with all the images inside, in the file box
7. Click "ok"
8. Under compression, use the down arrow to select "Maximum"
9. Click "add"
10. Select the file menu and then click exit ( or you can hit the "x" in the top right hand corner to close winzip). The file you just created should show up right next to the one you selected to compress.

 

 

Built in WinZip for WindowsXP:

 

1.  Put all the pictures into one folder if they are not already

2. Right click the folder

3. Select "Sent to" and then "compressed(Zipped) Folder"

4. You should now see a zip file named the same as the folder you selected to zip up.

5. Your ready to upload!
